Complete set for milk testing, which includes a testing plate, 1-liter testing liquid, and a cloth. The liquid is used for the rapid determination of somatic cell count in raw milk. It provides information about the udder’s condition well before visible changes occur in the milk, such as the formation of blood clots, etc. Complete milk testing kit, which includes 1l Avitatestu test plate and cloth. Quantity in a collective package: 12 pcs.
Ingredients:
- 5-10% anionic surfactants
- sodium hydroxide
- indicator
Store at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C.
Instructions:
- pour the first streams of milk into a premix glass
- milk a small amount onto each cell of the testing plate, from each quarter of the udder
- tilt the plate to remove excess milk, leaving a small amount up to the marking
- add approximately 1 ml of liquid
- mix and wait for the result
Interpretation of results:
The mixture remains liquid – no traces are present.
Result: approximately 100,000 cells. The milk is good. The mixture forms weak lines/stripes. Concentrated mixture can be observed along the line. Dark, yellow, and red color.
Result: the cell count has increased from 200,000 to 500,000. The udder’s health is threatened. The mixture forms clear lines and starts to become gelatinous.
Result: the cell count has significantly increased from 500,000 to 1,000,000. The udder is sick. The mixture forms very clear lines and appears as a gelatinous mass. The color changes to red and blue.
Result: the cell count is greater than 1,000,000. The udder is very sick.
